SUJ – Foundation bolt

SUJ – Foundation bolts are foundation bolts that are installed in concrete, they transfer forces from structures to the foundation column or foundation. SUJ foundation bolts are available in various models and come with accessories to ensure smooth installation and connections.

How do SUJ foundation bolts work?

SUJ foundation bolts are installed in the concrete structure before it hardens. They transfer the forces in the direction of the bar from the associated structural elements to the foundation column or foundation.The bolts are anchored using a rebar (SUJ/P) or an anchor plate (SUJ/L).

How are different models of SUJ foundation bolts used?

Short foundation bolt SUJ/L is used in low column foundations, concrete element connections and machine and equipment foundations.

Long foundation bolt SUJ/P is used in column foundations and as a joint when reinforcing columns.

Materials and sizes

Rebar B500B: SUJ foundation bolts, the bolts can be delivered without surface treatment or hot-dip galvanized
Black steel without hot-dip galvanizing: SUJ/L or SUJ/P
Black steel hot-dip galvanized: SUJ/L KZN or SUJ/P KZN

Manufactured in sizes M16-M39.

Note: The bolt delivery also includes washers and fastening nuts (2 pcs/bolt). SUJ foundation bolts are also available bent. In addition to the bolts, a mounting frame is available, which facilitates the installation of the bolts in place.

Manufacturing

The rebars are mechanically cut to the correct size. The thread is produced by rolling. The anchor plate is welded using robotic welding or by hand using MIG welding. The welding class for the joints is C according to SFS-EN ISO 5817.
