What are OPK – column shoes?

OPK column shoes are steel parts used to extend concrete columns and in bolted connections.

What are OPK column shoes used for?

Column shoes are used when concrete columns are extended or bolted to the substructure. They are installed in the element formwork before casting.

Sizes: OPK16-OPK52

Manufacturing method

The bottom plates and the stiffening plate are cut mechanically or flame-cut. The anchors are mecanically cut. The parts are welded together by hand welding or with a robot. The welding class for the joints is C according to SFS-EN ISO 5817. The visible parts of the bottom plate are primed with alkyd primer.
