PBOK – Slab Hanger
PBOK Slab Hanger, or opening-overlapping beam, is a solution that transfers loads next to theopening and acts as a load-bearing interchange beam between hollow core deck slabs.
How does the PBOK Slab Hanger work?
PBOK – the slabhanger transfers the load from the hollow deck to the hollow deck or other loadbearing structures and acts as a load-transferring beam across the opening. The PBOK slabhanger transfers and mediates temporary and final loads according to its given capacity and acts as a loadbearing structure at the end of the hollow deck.
Materials and sizes
- Structural steel S355J2
- Internal rebar B500B
- The slab hanger painted with protective paint
- Standard fire rating R60, also R90 and R120 available
- Height 150–500 mm
- Standard span of the slab hanger 1200–2400 mm
- Other dimensions according to special order
Manufacturing method
The sheet metal parts are cut mechanically or by thermal cutting and welded using the MIG method. Lifting eyes make installation easier, so that the slab hanger is kept straight when lifted into place.
Please note when ordering
Order designation, for example PBOK20-1200 (20 is the height of the slab hanger and 1200 is the width of the opening).
