
KL – Fastening Plate
What are KL Fastening plates?
KL fastening plates are welding plates equipped with rebar anchors that are installed in concrete before it hardens. KL welding plates are intended as fastening bases for steel profiles.
The welding plates transfer loads from the welded steel structure to the concrete structure through anchorings.
Where are they used?
KL welding plates are used, among other things, in steel structures, concrete elements and machine foundations, where other structures are attached to the plate part by welding.
How do they work?
They transfer the loads from the welded steel structure to the concrete structure via rebar anchoring. The anchoring ensures a controlled and safe transfer of the loads to the structure.
Materials and dimensions
The product is manufactured from several different materials depending on the requirements of the intended use.
Available material options:
- Structural steel S355J2, e.g. KL
- Stainless steel 1.4301, e.g. KLR
- Acid-resistant steel 1.4401, e.g. KLH
The sizes produced vary from 50 x 100 to 300 x 300 mm. The thickness of the plate is 8–15 mm, depending on the size. The plates made of structural steel are protectively painted. The stainless plates are in class 1.4301 and the acid-resistant ones in class 1.4401. The plate anchors are made of rebars in class B500B.
How is it made?
The welding plates are manufactured using the MAG welding method in an EN1090 certified welding workshop, ensuring traceability and quality. The products are manufactured using robotic or manual welding. The products are traceable through markings on the surface of the plates. The markings include product name, dimensions, production batch and FI mark.
